Last 17th September 2011 at 10am my beloved grandmother passed away in peace. Been 5 years she went through all pain and suffer I guess Allah loves her more and I'm ready to let her go so that she won't have to suffer anymore from stroke and such
When emak call me.. I dont know how to express my feeling.. I'm not crying.. not because I dont love her but I guess I am ready to hear that news anytime. We rush back to Mersing for the funeral but unfortunately I dont have chances to kiss her for the last time. Heavy rain so my brother cant speed.
We have 3 nights kenduri and for the first 2 nights Im helping my dad to cook. So 1st day was Mee Goreng Kari. Superb and delicious menu by abah until Mamat cant wait!! OMG. Alhamdulillah everything went smooth.
2nd day kenduri Abah and me cooked Ayam masak asam pedas, kacang panjang goreng and ikan tongkol goreng. Woohoo sold out. Sadly Mamat dont have chances to taste it. Too bad. Lol.
3rd day, I cant help Abah to cook as I have to rush back KL. On my way.. slowly I felt so sad whenever I recap my memories with Atok for 27 years. She is a wonderful person that I ever met! She never let us down. She always cook yummy dishes whenever we go back Mersing to visit her and everytime school hols emak always send us back kampung. Wee...
I still remember her house. Huge hall for family. And that also place for me, Mamat and Abang play 'bowling' using slippers and ball. That is also area whereby all aunties and cousins sleep during Raya time because we dont have enough room to sleep and we call it tidur lambak!! OMG so much fun!! I miss bukit pasir in front of her house. Whenever we play, she will sit in front of the house watching us and call back when reach 6pm.
I miss a lot of thing.. Atuk always bring us to Peng Fong to buy us jajan and such. And every evening when nyonya motor came with bunch of breads, atuk will buy us roti with cream and choc rice on top. OMG! so yummy. And atuk will buy asam for herself.
I still remember her favourite food- Mee goreng and Fresh Orange. She loves keropok and Kacang tumbuk also. I am so happy when my first sewing machine I made her baju kurung Kedah with a pocket in front and she damn happy.
She move in JB with my mom since Iein start her tadika. I knew she miss her house a lot but she feel bad if she didnt help emak to taking of Iein. Here come newborn Naim as he grew up in my house too. :-) Naim is my cousin. Mamat's lil brother.
..... Atuk.. you will be missed and I miss you a lot now. I dont wanna cry so much as I know it will burden you 'there'. Thank you so much for being the best atuk ever. Thank you so much for your sacrifices for us.. Taking care of abang, me, Iein, Mamat and Naim. Thank you so much Atuk. You know I always tell you how much I love you.
Atuk.. I hope you will be place in Heaven.
